TechnoLogica participates in the prestigious hybrid threats conference

3 Oct 2016
On 28 and 29 September, the conference Interinstitutional and International Cooperation for Hybrid Threat Prevention took place at the Central Military Club. The event included a round table entitled Cybersecurity Strategy — the Road Forward.

Georgi Dukov, Head of the Security Solutions Department at TechnoLogica, made a presentation dedicated to the Human Resources Challenge for National Cybersecurity. He spoke about the wealth of experience of the IT company in the security domain. TechnoLogica has more than 25 years of experience in the sector of national security and defence and has developed and rolled out systems for the defence ministries of Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, and Ukraine.

Mr. Dukov said that in the context of hybrid wars the most significant changes originate from new technological tools such as Big Data, the Internet and mobile technologies. In his opinion, Bulgaria should create opportunities for the training of experts in cyber defence in order to build capabilities to address cyberwar threats. The Head of the Defence Policy and Capabilities Directorate at the NATO Headquarters Timo Koster delivered the keynote address of the conference dedicated to NATO after the Warsaw meeting and outlined the main lines of work for the Alliance after the summits in Wales and Warsaw, notably protection of the civilian population in Member States and security beyond the borders of NATO Member States.

The conference was organised under the auspices of the Minister of Defence, Mr. Nikolay Nenchev. The Deputy Minister of Defence, Mr. Orhan Ismailov, the Deputy Chief of Defence, Admiral Eftim Eftimov, the Head of the G. S. Rakovsky Military Academy, General Todor Dochev, the Chairman of the Sofia section of AFCEA, Mr, Constantine Zografov, Members of Parliament, Ambassadors, and representatives of government institution and the academic community participated in the forum.
